Meet our leadership
Dr. Ross
Owner, Veterinarian
Raised in Columbia, South Carolina, Dr. Ross always knew she wanted to work with animals. She earned her undergraduate degree from Auburn University in 2007, then went on to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian, graduating from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. After graduation, Dr. Ross joined the Roper Mountain Animal Hospital team and practiced here for the next three years. She says RMAH quickly became like a second family. Though she later returned to Columbia to work alongside her longtime mentor at a large private small animal hospital, RMAH always held a special place in her heart. In November 2020, the RMAH family called her back to the Upstate, and she couldn’t have been more excited—or more grateful—to return to the place where her dream of becoming a veterinarian first came to life. In August 2023, Dr. Ross became the proud owner of Roper Mountain Animal Hospital, continuing her commitment to compassionate, personalized care for both pets and their people. When she’s not at the hospital, Dr. Ross is surrounded by her own beloved crew: three dogs—Munchy, Shiloh, and Red—who keep her on her toes, and three cats—George, Murray, and Thierry—who rule the household with typical feline flair. Her home is full of wagging tails, purring companions, and the kind of joyful chaos only animal lovers truly understand. In quieter moments, she enjoys digging in the garden or getting lost in a good book.
Caroline
Practice Manager
Caroline’s journey in veterinary medicine began at Roper Mountain Animal Hospital in 2019, where she started as a client service representative. After stepping away, she continued to grow her experience in emergency and specialty medicine, eventually taking on a role coordinating care for critically ill patients. In 2023, she returned to RMAH as Practice Manager, and for her, it felt like coming home. Before entering vet med, Caroline spent nearly a decade in dog boarding and daycare, and worked as a kennel technician at Greenville County Animal Care. She’s worked the front desk, the kennels, and everywhere in between—experience she brings into her role every day. Caroline believes veterinary medicine should be personal. For her, it’s about noticing when a nervous dog walks through the door and guiding them to a quieter space. It’s about recognizing a client picking up food and already knowing their pet’s bag. It’s about putting herself in their shoes—because she’s been there. That shared experience is what connects her to clients not just professionally, but personally. What she loves most about her role is the balance: supporting the team, being there for clients, and sneaking the occasional puppy kiss between tasks. As one of the few remaining privately owned veterinary hospitals in the area, RMAH takes pride in knowing clients and their pets by name—because that kind of connection is at the heart of everything they do. At home, Caroline shares life with Endo, her 12-year-old pit/boxer mix and constant reminder to slow down and stay present—something she carries with her into every part of her work.
